Soil Management and Slope Impacts on Soil Properties, Hydrological Response, and Erosion in Hazelnut Orchard

چکیده
Proper soil management is crucial to mitigate degradation. Hazelnut orchards are often raised on slopes and intensively managed, which makes them similar the already defined highly erodible land uses like vineyards. This research aims assess impacts of slope properties, hydrological response, erosion in hazelnut orchard. At eastern Croatia Cambisols, four treatments were chosen, representing two managements study area (herbicide mulched) different inclinations (high ~9° low ~4.5°), for rainfall simulation experiments sampling. The herbicide both removed cover reduced (p < 0.05) organic matter, mean weight diameter, water-stable aggregates. Mulched recorded a lower bulk density. These properties affected as reduction infiltration plots lead higher water sediment losses. increased over 2.2 t ha−1. Mulching was shown superior practice it enhances reduces erosion, even reducing effect erosional processes.

Analysis physical and chemical properties of soil and morphometric impacts on gully erosion
It is widely known that the development of gullies causes the loss of a great amount of soil and can be considered as one of the principal causes of geo-environmental degradation. The study area of the present research is located in the eastern shores of Urmia Lake. This study sought to evaluate the rate of growth and effective factors on the area’s gully dynamic over a year. To achieve th...
متن کاملEffect of Slope Gradient and Soil Physical Properties on Soil Loss in Furrows of Rainfed Farms
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of slope gradient and soil physical properties (grain size distribution, bulk density, aggregate stability and permeability) on water erosion in the furrows of rainfed farms under fallow conditions. The furrows with 6 m length were installed in five rainfed farms with 6.1, 10.6, 14.8, 20.7 and 27.1% slope steepness at three replications. Resul...
متن کاملCrop management effect on chemical and biological properties of soil
This study was aimed at evaluating the effect of crop rotation and various tillage systems onthe chemical and biological properties of soil in the years 2013-2015. The first order factorincluded cropping systems: a) crop rotation (pea – winter wheat – spring wheat) and b)monoculture of winter wheat, whereas the second order factor were tillage systems:1) conventional (CT), 2) reduced (RT) and 3...
متن کاملTea yield and soil properties as affected by slope position and aspect in Lahijan area, Iran
Soil genesis, physico-chemical properties and tea yield were investigated along different hillslope positions in the major tea cultivation area of Iran, i.e. Lahijan, Gilan Province. Land suitability was also determined for the tea production in this hilly region. Four different slope positions i.e., summit, shoulder, backslope and toeslope were sampled on three slope aspects following the prof...
متن کاملImpacts of Biochar on Physical Properties and Erosion Potential of a Mudstone Slopeland Soil
Food demand and soil sustainability have become urgent issues recently because of the global climate changes. This study aims to evaluate the application of a biochar produced by rice hull, on changes of physiochemical characteristics and erosion potential of a degraded slopeland soil. Rice hull biochar pyrolized at 400°C was incorporated into the soil at rates of 2.5%, 5%, and 10% (w/w) and wa...
